Mariusz Smolij

Mariusz Smolij is considered one of the most consummate conductors of his generation. He leads the orchestral portion of the evening with a program rooted in three defining figures of Polish music: Paderewski, Wieniawski and Chopin. His role brings together the grandeur of the orchestra and the expressive voice of the piano, shaping a musical journey that reflects Poland’s artistic refinement and cultural depth.

Under his direction, these works become more than selections on a program. They become part of the concert’s larger purpose: to remind audiences that Poland’s legacy is not only one of endurance, but one of imagination, achievement, and beauty.
