I was born in Stalowa Wola, Poland. After graduating from high school, I moved to Łódź to study at the Łódź University of Technology (Politechnika Łódzka), where I earned a Master of Science degree in Chemistry with a specialization in Food Chemistry.
Following graduation, I worked in the food production industry with companies such as Hortex and Społem. In 1979, I moved to Chicago. I later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1987.
I worked for the Pechiney Group (Rio Tinto Pechiney) as an Application Analyst Programmer until my retirement in 2002. I later worked as a Broker Associate with Coldwell Banker.
My husband Bobby and I live in Highland Park, Illinois, and I am honored to serve on the Board of the Paderewski Symphony Orchestra.
